I approached Mr. Watson about doing an interview with me about his diet as I am trying to focus more on the field of health and wellness. I of course added a few "fan" questions at the end since I am just that, a fan. I was not allowed to record the interview because it was short notice and Mr. Watson did not get clearance from his management team.

Interview has been paraphrased from written notes

Diet Questions-

Take me through your day, what do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Whatever the team has on the buffet - there’s a variety of food. Bacon, eggs, for lunch fish or chicken wrap.

So you don’t really pay too close attention to what you eat?

Not really. Eventually I'll probably start having to but i’ll have a chef.

What’s your favorite healthy food?

Any type of fish.

What’s your favorite indulgent food?

Chic-fil-a, Popeyes

Chic - fil - a ? You know they’re supporting the Trump reelection campaign?

Are they?

Yes, TI posted a list of businesses earlier that support Trump and they were on it.

I definitely do not support Trump.

Do you drink alcohol?

White wine, something sweeter like a Reisling.

I saw you traveled a lot this Summer, where and what’s the best food you ate?

Lake Como - Italian food, Egypt - humus

Favorite place to eat in Houston?

Steak 48.

Do you get steak there?

Yes.

Other Questions -

If you could change anything about the NFL, what would it be?

I don’t know. Nothing really. It is what I thought it would be. It’s not a contract year so…

What do you think of the “Rich Paul Rule”?

What’s that?

It's a rule that says that all NFL agents must have a college degree. It would restrict a lot of players from having their close friends and family member represent them. It's called the Rich Paul Rule because he does not have a degree but has top tier clients nonetheless.

- Not really fair.

What’s up with your Madden rating?

I don’t really care, it doesn’t affect me, I know who I am. I don’t listen to things like that, I’m all about positive vibes.

I saw you former teammate was pretty outspoken about it.

Yeah, Tyrein. He’s like that. (laughs)

Well i guess that's pretty cool to have teammates/people that will have your back like that though?

Yeah, for sure.

*As a personal note, I would like to add that this was my first interview with a professional athlete. It was quite a bit more challenging than I expected (especially because I wasn't able to record). It's often difficult to question someone who must keep their image intact because the media often has a way of twisting words.
